Nia Sharma Supports And Motivates Former Co-Star Mouli Ganguly; But Calls Out The Routine Of An Award Function
Nia Sharma seemed to be in a good mood today.
Television actress Nia Sharma often makes headlines for her fearless opinion, along with her bold fashion choices. She is upfront and bindaas - the qualities for which she is loved and admired by her fans. She also is known to honour her friendships in the best way possible. And she gave proof to this by calling out the culture of running after followers on Instagram.
It so happened that Nia's former co-star Mouli Ganguly posted a newspaper clip featuring her interview. The interview, if one goes by the headline, spoke about how she was rejected on the basis of low count of followers on her Instagram account. Nia posted a screenshot of this story and motivated Mouli by writing, "And you have done the biggest 'K' show when followers were not even a thing. This should be the last thing to bog any actor down. A trending reel cannot erase the iconic character you have played for years." One of her stories also featured a rant against a particular award show. Sharing the grab of her nomination post by a fan on her story Nia wrote, "This is my humble request to my dearest fans to 'Stop' nominating me for these awards. Because everyone is going to get it regardless. And I am not going to be attending these." She also went on slamming for using the terms 'Iconic' and 'international' in the name of the awards. "Terms like 'International' are too big to be used casually. Long way to become worthy of national ones, let alone iconic/international," she said.
The said award show earlier also got embroiled in a controversy when Sidharth Shukla refused to give it importance.
Celebrities like Adaa Khan, Surbhi Chandna, Aly Goni, Jasmin Bhasin, Shivangi Joshi, Rahul Vaidya, Vijayendra Kumeria, Sumedh Vasudev Mudgalkar, Reem Shaikh, Sharad Malhotra, and others graced this year's event and several actors bagged the awards too.
